Serendipity

We set off to find a place on the map we'd never seen. Going through a town we found the road was closed. Cutting our losses we looked around the old town instead. It was lovely built of yellow stone and there was a magnificent church next to a collection of old books called a Bibliotec. We wandered around an ancient Market square and hoped to see the church. No we were told. It was always closed except for services because the tourists would steal everything. How sad. We had lunch there before coming back and were glad our churches can stay open.
