Landfall

It is quite early in the morning and we are waiting to be transferred to the Queen Mary. It has snowed overnight and looks amazing. Right next to us is docked the Queen Elizabeth. We could almost jump her from here!
During the night we passed the Statue of Liberty but missed it...we were asleep. A thousand people all turned up for breakfast and they coped remarkably well.
A coach will take us around the city. We could catch the shuttle and go off to do our own thing but just now there is a perceptible air of both excitement and apprehension so we have opted to stay with the crowd.
At breakfast the other people on the table were expressing pious hope that they would all get to their destinations without problems. I did my bit to cheer them up. Pretend we are all sheep, go with the herd and have faith in the good shepherd who will get us to where we need to go in the fullness of time.
So now there's another group of people who know I'm balmy!
Much later.
It was not a brilliant morning. We were left waiting for quite a long time but eventually we got started on the next leg of the journey. We were bussed from Manhattan to Brooklyn where the Queen Mary waited for us. It had snowed in NY, in places quite deep but then city had coped. It had been cleared from the roads and nothing had been stopped from functioning.
Now all three Queens are here and off we go later all three to Florida. There is a sail away party and fireworks later when the three Queens will move out together.
Apparently yesterday's storm was a force eleven. We are hoping that our journey down the US coast is less eventful. Cheers.

Barmy or not, you do see life. How you find the stamina to do half of this puzzles me. Are you on something?, and if you are can I have some please?
Hope you enjoy the Southern hemisphere as much as you have the Northern.
Keep your lovely upbeat outlook and remember to take some good pictures to display on your return.
