Sharing the abundance.

Bring me your poor, your huddled masses.....which loosely translated this bank holiday weekend , should include refugees from beaches, people in churches, hopefuls eyeing the seats outside pubs , uncle Tom Cobbly and all. All human life is here including all those just in transit.

The sun is out so everyone has rushed outside before it goes again and the Roseland is full..this is good news for everyone and we are all agreed that the appalling weather which is not good for humans seems to be just what our gardens needed.

It's more like Spring out there ! Rain and sun alternate. You have to make the most of any bit of the weather that suits because it's not going to last long!

The best thing is that some things in the garden are now in glut! Broad beans are in abundance and several carefully wrapped parcels have been left in my porch. We are grateful for it all and everything will be used!

Our Cornish hedgerows are burgeoning. The furthest away from the house has been saved from the gardeners sickle. Huge fat blackberries in massive abundance are slowly turning red....in another week we will have pounds and pounds of them. Time to wrap them up in exchange for the broad beans.

Sharing in the back end which is what us northerners call the beginning of Autumn, is what makes our rural life go round!

Plus..this is the busiest weekend of the year and heralds a slow but sure return to normal......what ever that might mean to us all! Whoopee!

Sounds lovely. Our Apple tree is straining under the burden of it's crop. Will be giving most away but some baking probably as well for the freezer.
