Well actually it was three wineries. We set out at lunch time and were taken to three separate places that made wine! We saw the rows of vines covered in plastic to keep off the birds. At one of them we were treated to the whole process of the making and then the storage of the wine. It was very hot and we had lots of samples! Hic!
As a result we didn't see much else in Aukland which was a shame.....the driver got us back exactly at the sail away deadline set by the captain!
He assumed we were going on to Sydney and when we said we were not his reply was "You won't miss much"
I love the grumpy relationship between the Aussies and the Kiwis. Bit like the way some husbands and wives treat each other!
We are setting sail soon to go to another port .....More tomorrow.
