Yesterday's funeral was a gentle loving occasion when everyone contributed lovely memories, some funny, some sad....but all demonstrating the love felt for the deceased!
One son read a poem I've never heard before. It's by Tina Turner......no idea if that's the singer or not but here it is.
We're living in a world, stars and dust
Between heaven 'n all that surrounds us
We're travellers here, spirits passing through
And the love we give, is all that will endure
Just like a rose after the rain
Something beautiful remains
Tears will leave no stain
Time will ease the pain
For every life that fades
Something beautiful remains!
