Almost back to normal!

Today is a sort of occasion! David is coming to church with me for the mid morning communion. We have been doing the eight am just down the road but today it's the lovely little church in St Mawes......which is perched precariously on a one in four twisting road!

I've only ever driven there once...and ..got caught by malevolent iron railings! On my own I drive to the sea front and leave the car with a note for the traffic wardens and walk up the hill. David really couldn't do that any more so he is going to drive us there!

This is fraught with hazards along the way but it will be the first return to the church where he was church warden for years since he took sick! So this is a major developement.

The car will take most of the strain but I hope to persuade him to let me out to go and robe whilst he does the final bit!

I hope we have thought of everything.....but I shall feel much better when I get him in his pew , sitting down.

He will scowl at anyone trying to talk before the service and knows to stay sitting if he needs to.

Once more into the breach, dear, dear friends.....we are in your hands Lord.

Back home and alls well! The only thing to go wrong with the whole service was my fault. I had picked up the Sunday sheets with the readings on and put them in my bag thinking they were the set to take us up to Christmas! We managed!

Glad you made it home safe and sound.

Good to hear of the venture or David a little further afield. Good for you both :)

It is so good to hear some really good news for a change Jean. You must be so relieved that David is nearly his old self once more.
Onward and upward.
