Good day !

I made it to church on Ash Wednesday. It was a lovely service attended by people I know well...

I tried my usual stand off ploy of asking people not to be nice to me but they were having none of that.

Some tears fell..

Leaving church at the end I walked out with someone whose husband died a year or so ago.

She fixed me with determination and a steely glint in her eye.

"David does not want to see you cry.." I blinked

"David wants to see your smile....the way you used to smile at him."

I came home knowing she was right...that is what he would want.

This afternoon another friend found me in the garden. She had brought a mass of daffodils and narcissi.

She reminded me of all the good things David had done during the interregnum when we first met and how pleased everyone had been for us....

It's been a good day....thank you God.

Thank you God for loving friends who do the right thing :)

Really glad you had a good day and perhaps spring will brighten them even more as the garden regenerates and life blooms afresh.

Prayers and {{{Hugs}}} continue from here.

It's good to know that a little corner of the curtain has lifted. Some lovely people know what to say and do. Bless them.
Gardens returning to colour and life are a wonderful symbol.
Love and prayers X
