United?

In the theatre when someone is given a much smaller part than they would have liked a strange process can take place....the small character starts to put in the extra word, they move around the stage desperate to assume greater importance....it's called building your part up .
A niggling doubt is growing stronger in my mind that that may well be the urge that motivates the leader of the Scots!
I have always believed that every country must have the right to govern itself... I was glad when Scotland and Wales got their own parliaments and were able to have a much greater say...devolution was I believe an excellent thing.
I still am not sure how I want the vote to go but I do note that some of the proposals coming from Westminster sound suspiciously like bribes...if you stay with us we will give you.....
That must further inflame the Scottish people that they really are under the English thumb.
I feel and this is an unformed, biased feeling that it would be a shame not to be the UK anymore....United we stand is what prompted men to belong to unions...it is a simple truth...
I have no Idea what's going to happen next week...but I know that it does affect me....and let's not forget that the Cornish would also like to be a seperate state.....

The reality is that the Scots have had a greater say in English affairs since devolution than ever before, while the English Parliament was proscribed from voting on Scottish affairs that were the business of the devolved Scottish Parliament.

Scottish Labour MP's in the UK Parliament are a significant power base for Labour, without which, the wider labour party would become like the Liberal Democrats or 'others'. UKIP will gain massively at the next election on a ticket of Out of Europe and Autonomy for England?

What is sauce for the Scottish and Welsh geese, needs to be the same for England as a country. Devolved government, within a United Kingdom of willing participants.

It the scots go their own way, good for them, I just hope that they don't live to regret their decisions. Already the fall out, just from fears of a Yes vote has brought down the value of the £ and hit Scottish companies and shares quite hard - down 7% overall this week. More will come as the Scottish government after a Yes vote, tries to negotiate a deal fair to them (in their eyes) about the division of assets and the thorny problem of Nuclear and also Scottish Regiments in the British Army??? And whether they will be in or out of Europe? Lots to consider by all parties, so for me the #bettertogether slogan holds good.
