Goodbye wart!

The day the wart goes has arrived. I have had a good sleep. The local ferry seems to be running, the wind having dropped considerably over night.

I am slightly nervous I admit...but I am now taking a long term view on this....

I spent some time yesterday looking at old photographs of me and it wasn't there on my ordination day...or my wedding day but it was there two years later. It has grown!

Taking my cue from the remarks of friends at the weekend I have mentally taken the view that my appearance can only be improved by its disappearance...at my age that really doesn't matter but it does give me some pleasure......mixed with regret that I've left it so long....

I will not sit for hours in the sun from now on...one lesson has been learned...

The hardest part of the whole saga is the lack of my husband and children...but good friends have taken up their position..and I am very grateful to them....and to my e friends. No man...or woman is an island etc...

Once more into the breach dear friends......"
