Village wedding!

I was up very early this morning to talk to the gardener....at eight o'clock it was already quite hot! It's obviously going to be another glorious day...I am hoping for the same tomorrow.

The bride is going to walk to the little chapel....this involves a stroll along the lugger , past the bright red mine washed up during the last war and the Burma Star memorial for those who died in Japanese prison camps...

Past also my granite dog bowl....put in place under a tap in memory of the first David and Major our first golden retriever....

The village is the one I lived in before I married the second David....every stick and stone carries a memory...

In hot weather the ladies of the village sit on the slipway, often with their prams and watch the boats going in and out, all dependant on the state of the tide...

My last little boat is sitting rocking backwards and forwards gently when the tide is in...

I have no idea where the tide is this weekend....the days when I could tell you the exact state of the tide are long gone....but it's just as beautiful at low tide as when it's high......

The village has become the centre for local artists and boasts two shops selling wonderful pictures...

It's a thriving lively community and they will all turn out tomorrow to cheer the bride as she walks with the children and the dog to get married....

Once they are spliced....we are all going off to a near bye field where there will be a hog roast!

Tomorrow will be a day to remember...hopefully for all the right reasons and beautiful weather would be a great bonus...consider this as a prayer Lord!
