In the middle of all the bad news coming though the airwaves every day, yesterday shone a small beacon of light through the darkness.
I don't know the people involved but two enterprising young women had asked a local group for help....who then shared this on Facebook.
Two young women having seen the plight of the people in the migrant camps in Calais were planning a trip to take them blankets , clothes and shoes for protection against the coming winter!
This sent me scurrying to David's wardrobe. There were the stout shoes, warm clothes and rain coats they were asking for!
Collecting them all together is the first step but there are many more to come.
I looked at all the replies sent in to cheer and support them and I wept with sheer joy and relief at the humanitarian determination to help people in desperate need...
Here in Cornwall we are a very long way away from Dover but the young women are planning a long drive to try to help.
I will help in any way I can and applaud the generosity and the determination to try to relieve some of the real suffering happening on our doorstep. It is practical Christianity, something we don't see all that often in action ..please God let the help get through to those who are in desperate need of it. It is the very least we can do.

Somehow this blog has become attached to the comments for yesterday.  I have no idea why or how but at the moment I lack the skill to separate them....sorry!
Having looked to try to find out what happened I seem to have pressed the update button rather the post one! The original post about the teleported woman has gone....lost forever! Just as well some might say....anyway now I know what happened I'll try not to do it again....
