Guilty pleasures

Often I find it hard to admit to my guiltiest of pleasures.....they range from drinking too much milky coffee to doubles scotches...and drinking these whilst watching television just compounds the guilt ....
Some reality TV makes me yawn...some are interesting in that you can't actually believe what people are prepared to do in public!
But right now the main pleasure is in watching Balls on Strictly....
Oh dear!
This morning I found a clip of the gangnam style dance from last week on You tube!
With great joy I sipped my coffee and watched in fascination!
The man can dance! It's not the version of this "sport" we are used to but he has learned to move in time to the beat as he interprets the moves in his own joyful way....
And that's what makes it so good! He is enjoying it! And so are we!
Right at the start we all thought that he would go the way of previous big names....make a bit of a fool of himself and then go....
But no....he is learning how to actually dance the steps in time to the music. The amount of work he must be putting in is amazing but it is working!
From now on every time I am feeling down, in need of a brief pick me up I can turn to the clips of his triumphant romp through the media....and it will make me laugh out loud....wow!
As a politician he is presently resting...but as an entertainer he is contributing to the gaiety of the nation....I hope he wins!

He is amazingly funny isn't he? He has absolutely no natural grace yet somehow he contrives to do what he does in perfect time.
He is obviously enjoying evry moment and so are we, but win?

No, I can't agree with that.
My three favourites from the 1st day are still there and I would love Ore to win, but if not either Louise or Danny ought to.
Much as I love what the redoubtable Ed is doing I think this will probably be his last week.

I missed last night due to being at a Church Quiz night, in conjunction with our local Operatic Society. Hearing the correct answers being sung by a young, gifted Baritone was good fun.

And Mr Balls got a mention in one of the questions, and typically the correct answer was Balls.

We enjoy his performances - which they clearly are. I can recall him being slagged off by newspapers when it was announced while still the Shadow Chancellor for learning to play the Piano - he ignored the silliness and went on to to take and pass the appropriate examination.

And he is a talented man in other areas - an Academic, Visiting Professor at a University in the USA and a Doctor of Law consulting at several Universities in the UK. Why did he bother being a politician - he could have made a substantial living just being Ed Balls.

Last night Ed Balls danced to Great Balls of Fire.....brought the house down. So now the judges are reportedly worrying in case he wins!
Arghhh!
