Telling lies, white or otherwise!

The trouble is it's too easy to tell a lie.
I do it sometimes and only realise later that I've given the wrong information without thinking about it much..
Sometimes the lie is to save another persons feelings. You admire a new haircut or dress whilst not really liking it....
If people ask me a personal question I'd rather not answer I often deflect it in some way, often by smudging the truth rather than being brutally honest.
If I don't do something I'm supposed to be doing I can occasionally be providing a less than honest excuse...
I know I do it. I take myself to task regularly for not telling the truth at all times but then the next time I do it again, either to save myself a long explanation or sometimes not to embarrass the other person.
It's a habit it's easy to get used to.
So I do have some sympathy with Mr Sessions, Mr Trumps attorney general, though not much.
When the answer to a question is of vital importance, it is surely incumbent upon us to be truthful.
We want to know about the lead up to Trumps election victory......we need to know if Russia played any sort of a hand in it.
Trumps protestations of a witch hunt sound very thin right now!

I'm afraid it is all too easy to lie. We all do it, even those few who claim to be totally honest.
Sometimes it is necessary to fudge the edges of truth or it would prove too brutal.
Occasionally a lie is a small kindness when absolute honesty would hurt.
Quite often, and I am well used to this one, a lie is a quick unthinking response to an inconvenient question.
I'm not saying there are degrees of lying exactly but that 'bending the truth' can be a way of escaping unpleasantness.
We try, but we are human.

The issue with Mr Sessions (and Trump) is that they are so determined to push the right wing, fascist agenda that is Trump, that they're prepared to lie to get their way.

The petulance that Trump displayed when Sessions with drew from the investigation of Russian interference demonstrates how unfit he is to be in his job.

Sessions, to is credit, realised that he'd been caught out, and did the least thing available to him. If he'd had any honour, he'd have resigned from his position completely. So, a caught out liar remains in a senior position in the US administration.

Mind the track record of the trumpist's demonstrates their complete deceit and dishonesty. A bunch of extremists holding the reins of power in what is reportedly, the world's most powerful democracy - sounds more and more like NAZI Germany each day.
