It's just the media hype which goes along with it.

You can't avoid it anywhere in the papers, on TV, on the internet. I suppose that all publicity is good, and it is nice to see them being supported, but I can just picture the media waiting, ready to jump on any mistake or supposed disagreement, to make news.

I believe that the media treatment of Charles and Diana while not causing the breakdown, certainly did not help them. Their pursuit of her in particular was scandalous and without any justification apart from prurient self interest and greed.

I hope that William and Catherine are allowed some time and space to settle into marriage without the type of intrusion that has typified the coverage up to now.UKViewerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18114944341930758335noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8137857716187567509.post-77648797719425871082011-04-28T08:33:13.440-07:002011-04-28T08:33:13.440-07:00"I avoided the Coronation by going to watch L..."I avoided the Coronation by going to watch Lancashire play cricket at Old Trafford."

It's striking that not even the Coronation could stop play in the County Championship in those days. Can you imagine the furore if professional sporting events were taking place at the same time as the wedding tomorrow?John Hhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11074559601919298190noreply@blogger.com
