Calm Day

John the gardener arrived this morning to sort out the trees. He has done a lovely job but it was hard work. He sawed a point out of a large piece of wood and hammered it deep into the ground but there are now two ropes holding it in to the hedge. It's a belt, braces and elastic job! It looks strange but it should hold against any further winds....one's forecast again for tomorrow! David has been out to lunch with his two sons. All is peace and light there now thank goodness! Long may it continue!
