Long haul

It's a very long passage through the Red Sea. We are going steadily south and the breeze outside is a hot one. Yesterday I went to a lecture, this morning I am going to watch a video on the Nag Hammadi library. In this life of sloth and decadence it's good to have a grounding occasionally

The video was good but now Father Richard has told everyone that I am a priest so I am now recovering from being addressed as Pastor Rolt.
David and I took him to lunch afterwards and he is a very funny man.

More soberly they are taking the threat of piracy seriously on board. There are lookouts all the way along the decks and at lunch time we were escorted by a war ship. We go through the Gulf of Aden later and tonight we must all draw our curtains not to show any lights. The decks will be closed.
