Sitting looking out at Falmouth as it was getting darker I suddenly saw a small deer springing and bouncing along the grass. We see rabbits, birds and lately pheasants regularly and occasionally a fox but never before a deer. I have never heard that there were wild deer in Cornwall before but I did see it. It's worth noting that I had only had one very small glass of wine.
