Gods grandeur.

The new garden furniture ordered last week on a fairly warm day is coming this morning......and its freezing outside!  Having strolled around to try to decide where its going, in the barn seems the best idea.....
And yet....for all its so cold the garden is very happy indeed. Everything is blooming.....flowers everywhere, new shoots spearing upwards....growth and beauty everywhere I look.
Time for a little more Gerard Manley Hopkins I think.

The world is charged with the grandeur of God
It will flame out, like shining from shook foil
It gathers to a greatness like the ooze of oil
Crushed.

Oh morning, at the brown brink eastward springs
Because the Holy Ghost over the bent
World broods with warm breast and with ah!
Bright wings.

That says everything I want to say this morning except....  Dear Lord   we could do with just a touch more warmth!

Read this title as God's Grandad and wondered what new theology you were about to give us!
The world is beautiful at the moment with all the new growth despite the weather :)
