I started on Friday by having one tall ship sitting just below us, sheltering from the wind....
This was replaced yesterday by a cruise ship! Across the water are hundreds of masts....all that's visible from here...
They will start to move out at eleven this morning with their sails up so the wind has dropped....
Last night we had a wonderful fire work display and I am told that Falmouth was in celebrating mode.....
I will walk down the meadow at some point but I am told that all the really good viewing points are already full...so anything I do will be on foot...
People have been ringing from Falmouth asking me to wave at them....this house is clearly visible from there...I am not sure they would see me waving though!
The roads are already quite busy for early birds to take up their viewing places....
After a trip down the meadow I really will have an excellent view from my sitting room....binoculars at the ready!
It's going to be a very strange Sunday. It was!
None of my pics look as though I was close....I was though and have the insect bites to prove it!

The best laid plants..etc. may have to revised. The cows are back....a much loved addition usually but I may have to walk down the lane instead!
I have spent a couple of hours sitting with the ragwort....came home after being bitten and stung. Cars are everywhere....and my photos don't do justice to the wonderful sight....
The second photo is really clear when expanded and shows most clearly how busy the sea is.
thanks for sharing this with us, trust the insects bites are not too painful.
Thank you.....I got anti histamine onto them fairly quickly so they are OK today....
