My busy period lasted over the weekend and continues.....
Yesterday a man arrived to fit a new front door...don't ask!
My car had a trip to the garage and I now have a new battery.....
Various visitors came and went. The phone rang .... frequently.....
I made lunch for a very dear old friend....It was not very good having been left too long in the oven whilst I dealt with someone else arriving...
Life as I know it has resumed...
I am hoping for a quieter day today...I need to put a new gadget into the garden..it is a mole deflector that works by sending a vibrating pulse into the ground....I was a little disconcerted to find that it is described on the label as a snake scarer.... I do have grass snakes it's true but they do more good than harm so I need to have a quiet hour to read the detailed instructions!
All lizard life is here after the discovery of a newt in my little pond at the weekend...
I would welcome a day of peace if possible...my nerves need to regroup...

Perhaps a day in bed might do the trick, with someone to wait on you hand and foot, ipad to hand and TV remote alongside and the phone switched off.
