Snow and Spring.

Yesterday was a day of contrasts.,
In order to get to church for the early communion I had to set off early to get the ice off my windscreen! This mundane event used to be commonplace in other parts of the country but it was a first for Cornwall!
At lunch time we drove over to a beautiful hotel on the coast. The sun was out, the sea was green and it could have been anywhere tropical! To add to this illusion many people were enjoying the sunshine...there were several tables outside , it really was quite warm!
We met people we knew and there was a sense of approaching Spring and a renewal of "normal" life in contrast to the memory of this day last year!
Someone brought me daffodils which are just opening...
It was a day for remembering other lunches, other companions, and putting out the dustbins!
I climbed the step ladders to turn on the Solar panel meter, stopped last week yet again during the power cuts!
Today I start again...it's a fairly busy week with lots to do. This is a good thing. My self imposed purdah is over...it's back to work as a single woman once again.
Thank you God for these and all your blessings.

[*] for you as you move on. The weather can be so unpredictable. One minute its overcast and miserable, the next the sun is beaming down. But, we're in England, where variable weather is one of the main topics of conversation, even strangers talk about it. Could we describe it as an Ice Breaker, rather than scraper? :)
