Resuming my life!

Since arriving back in this country after my recent cruise I had a very quiet few days....no phone calls, no visitors!
Suddenly from no where people are turning up!
The phone rings, emails arrive . I am busy again...the diary is filling up!
This is good, I've had a lot of peace, too much at times.....
Rotas are appearing but until I get my broadband sorted out next week it would take half a morning to download them!
From sitting about feeling sorry for myself I am suddenly rushing around getting on top of things. My first job this morning will be to chose the hymns for Sunday before my first visitor arrives....
I am not complaining about this...I enjoy working most of the time...
The cough persists but the asthma spray sorts that out most of the time...
I reassured last nights visitor that I wasn't infectious....
I'm home now for the next three months...hopefully this will establish my normal way of tackling life again after a period of lotus eating...
I enjoyed my lotus....it was a romantic few months to treasure in memory during the years to come....
Back to work now...thank you God!

Good to resume a routine. I know that I'm retired, but being used to a routine, I have established my own, which revolves around Church, family and friends. It works and keeps me sane.

But my studies resume soon, and in the 3rd year, instead of travelling to a set training location, I will be in different places for each module, ranging from West Malling, Maidstone, Tongridge and even across the border in Canterbury Diocese. Preaching is the first module, to learn what I should have been doing for the past 2 years, when I have preached on average once every six weeks. I might get it right soon :)
