Transplants

My stepson Robin is in hospital after having his third kidney transplant.  This is amazing in itself. The number of people who have had three is very small indeed.  The match was a good one and they went ahead yesterday having waited all day to turn the poor donor's machine off. Three people received organs and will all hopefully all lead productive, happy lives as a result but the overall feeling is of horror.  I am trying not to be squeamish  but it sounds appalling for the family of the dead person. I just hope that prayers were said and that the good that has been achieved compensates  to some degree for the loss. Rest in peace.
