A time for thought.

It was cold here yesterday. After several days of sun I found myself covering up during the day and last night looking for woolly jumpers...
September is my favourite month here now I can no longer sit in the sun for hours...
This year though far from looking forward to Autumn with all its glorious colours I am getting away from it by skipping out of the country this week...
But before I go.....it's not just the packing....I have old friends arriving , a funeral tomorrow and nothing in the news is reassuring....
I am aware of reaching a time of decision.
My PTO( Permission to Officiate!) runs out at the end of the year...so I have to decide whether I wish to go on for sometime in the near future.
Right now I don't even know whether it's possible.
And in any case some sort of retirement looks increasingly inviting.
The world as we know it is changed...this morning we are told that North Korea intends to test more nuclear weapons..
Trump is promising dire consequences...
Enough in all that lot to make me ponder and I haven't even mentioned Brexit!
Change is inevitable it seems, no avoiding it! I can't embrace it all.
So maybe it is really is time to retire....
I'll give it serious thought whilst I am on the high seas!

It's a good job you are going away for a while Jean. You have some serious pondering to do and a break from routine is a good way to re-charge your brain.
I'm sure whatever you decide will be the right thing for you, and that is the most important thing.
Sometimes we can go on doing something which has become a chore out of a sense of duty.
When the pleasure goes out of an activity and it becomes hard work is a good time to let go.
Good luck whatever you decide.
