I used to tweet a lot. Far more often than I wanted to admit.....
I more or less stopped during the period of my life after the death of my husband. The friends I'd made in Twitter stayed with me and I am now friends with them on Facebook....I value their input...and in times of stress find their support very reassuring.
But lately I find myself looking through the tweets during the day again, mostly watching the tweets and the reaction to them of Donald Trump.
Old friends are still there...and I am enjoying getting reacquainted with people I've not spoken to for years...
I know that my dips into the conversations is akin to listening at keyholes...I am constantly amazed by the ferocious rage directed at Trump.
Several hate groups have taken on the job of pulling him down...it is fascinating to see them in action...
Nothing is sacred...every aspect of his utterings are dissected and discussed...yesterday I joined in after he had made a crucial spelling mistake in a tweet.
The calls for his impeachment get louder every day...no wonder he is feeling angry....
But is it a subject to be discussed on social media?
As Twitter is Trumps chosen method of communicating with the world then I suppose it's fair for others to use it to fight back and they do.
The world seems to be teetering on the brink of disaster..either from global warming or mad politicians right now...following it all via social media is for me a way of feeling at least informed and to some degree engaged...
It's a weird world out there....
