Misspelled spoofs.

Another day, another attempt at getting me to put in my details on line.
Threats of shutting down my various accounts unless I respond are now commonplace. Those from "apple" I send off to their phishing site...
I tend to ignore the others...but this mornings demand got my interest.
Amazon say that unless I put in my details they won't be able to continue to work well on my behalf...my account will be cancelled.
Having recently sent for quite a lot of Christmas stuff from Amazon this got my interest.
I get free postage from Amazon as a prime member so I've been using it for small items for presents .....
It works for me so to have it removed would be inconvenient but not the end of the world.
But I always look at the request fairly closely...just in case.
So this mornings request was interesting.
Arnazon needed my details...not Amazon.
At first sight the misspelled word looks authentic..but clearly isn't.
Just one more attempt to defraud, to steal, to con us poor old women into giving them our banking details.
It would be very easy to get panicked into falling for this trap..but as with the Apple ones there always seem to be spelling or punctuation mistakes. Only small ones..but enough to alert us.
My golden rule here is that any request for personal or banking details is going to be ignored...
I hope all of us old dears stay safe. Especially in this manic approach to the festive season!

Hopefully you have also received the apple fix for the bug that allowed people to log into you account quite simply?
