I am getting very forgetful. Yesterday searching for all the pieces of paper to take with me on the next cruise I found myself wondering if my travel insurance was still in place.
Last year at some time I took the radical step of paying for a year of a insurance...but I couldn't remember exactly when.
This important piece of paper has to be included in the trip to the admission desk...I couldn't find it...it's probably with all the information from the last cruise...
So I rang the company to check...I am still covered . They sent me an email to prove it! I printed it off whilst I can still use my office!
Once again I felt much too old to be trusted with any vital bits of paper but as my office is now literally all over the place I can rest assured that I can cruise. I went on to print my E ticket to tuck with my passport.
I've never done this so soon before but with the entire house upside down I needed to reassure myself that I can still do it. The next trick will be to find it when it's needed!
My old friends were good to be with last night but one goes home today and the rest next week...
I have excused myself from all other social occasions, apart from lunch on Monday with my stepsons....plus I have parcels to wrap, cards to write, tea to provide.
My cleaner will arrive on Monday to total chaos...
We will cope! Hopefully!

You'll be fine, particularly as you have the essentials for your cruise - perhaps leave the packing, go with an overnight bag and by clothes you need on the cruise - albeit, a night gown for Dinner at the Captains Table, might be regarded as eccentric - you just have to say your're an Anglican Priest and they will understand :)
