I can't remember a time when so much angst was being expressed about all sorts of things but mostly Brexit.
As a country we seem to have forgotten the constituents of Great Britain. It's not just England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales are all part of this. And it's almost as though we are resenting them for insisting on having their say.
If the price we pay for coming out of Europe is losing the parts of our country that makes us "Great" we have to wonder if any of it is worthwhile?
Britain as an independent entity is never going to exist easily.
This wonderful idea floated by those politicians who lusted after more power untrammelled by EU rules is clearly going down in flames.
It's very easy to be critical of the various leaders as they get quite excited .
But it's because they care!
The fact that Teresa May threw away her majority to make her go into partnerships with the DUP only makes the situation worse...she can't betray them without losing her own standing.
I welcome the attempted intervention of senior politicians, particularly Ken Clarke as they try to lead us back into sensible working arrangements...
The whole thing is clearly meat and drink to those who have led us into this mess and are failing to find the glory they expected.
That Farage is going to accept a good pension from an institution he has worked hard to destroy is quite simply disgusting.
This mess has no quick fix I'm afraid...but I would sleep better if some experienced , practical politicians were in charge. Even Tony Blair would be better than those presently sitting around the cabinet table.
And regular readers of this blog know how I feel about him!

The Titanic is sailing head on into the iceberg of Brexit. And nobody is on the bridge to steer it clear and the communications are out, as consultation and agreement are to be imposed, until the spanner was thrown into the works by the DUP, who don't want anything to separate them from the English mainland, while the two thirds of their Island wants unity of ideas and purpose. Its a mess, which is only giving more for those keen on breaking up the UK more strength to their case.
It's time for some sort of coalition government, which can provide a consensus of all views and make a deal that listens to all needs, not just the Westminster view.
