I get food again this morning!
My delivery from Tesco was cancelled last week when all the roads filled up with snow. A quick trip into the village meant that I was able to buy milk and bread, the staples of life.
It meant that I dived into the freezer occasionally. So I was in no danger of starving...
I did however eat out more than usual....I could get used to this...
The back to work feeling means that at some stage I have to get my car moving again soon. I have a funeral later in the week....
It has been fortunate that a very old friend has been here during the worst of the weather. A man who was once my dentist plus his delightful little dog has been a welcome companion during the worst of the weather. Conversation has never flagged, we have covered a lot of ground.
Going back to my solitary state will not be hard...I like my space mostly...having got used to walking around talking to my beloved dead.
Getting the food cupboards filled again will be good this morning...opening the door of the fridge to see empty shelves has been a real shock at times..
Hopefully the worst of the winter is drawing to a close..we already have more light to celebrate in the early evening.
Spring to celebrate , looking forward another cruise and lots to eat in my fridge..
Alleluia!
