What a difference a week makes. From deep snow to Spring in a week!
The only thing I’ve lacked this odd week are bananas!
The difficulty of shops not getting their usual deliveries has been caused by those few days of the roads being clogged.
Milk, bread and bananas have failed to arrive but mostly we have all managed to survive.
The manager of our local coop here in St Mawes has been posting daily on Facebook! Shortages of various things at the beginning of the week are now apparently sorted..they now have the basics of life such as bread and bananas.
This small gesture has been much appreciated by me and I suppose everyone else locally.
Although it’s grey here right now it is warm...Spring seems to have sprung.
So am busy trying not to notice the approach of Mothering Sunday.
It’s not going to make me weep...much .
The gap left by losing my children is being filled by step children . Cards and flowers arrived yesterday and I am very grateful...but memories arrive unbidden and unwanted and take me by surprise at odd times.
I have so much to be thankful for and I am. But somehow memories of times past flow around me unbidden on days like this.
So it’s time to get on with my life after this extraordinary week. I can do this!
