Nothing on this trip has gone to plan. Last night we diverted from the planned visit to Madeira in order to bring a sick passenger into Lisbon to get to the hospital. We are able to go ashore this morning if we want to but I am fully aware that it is Good Friday. I could just go to sit in one of the churches...and that might be the best bet. It it seems more likely though that I will stay quiet on board. All our plans are now up in the air...we shall see how things go but one thing is certain . It is the strangest Good Friday I have ever spent.
