Crowded church.

Yesterday was both weird and wonderful. It was the last service of our present incumbent. All the other churches on the Roseland closed for the day so that everyone could get to St Just. And they did.
It was a beautiful day. The sun shone and our semi tropical grave yard was filled with blossom.
I got there early to find that a lot of other people had had the same idea.
After parking I decided to do some grave visiting. We had at least an hour before the service started. .......so I had a few words with my daughter and then my husband before going into the church.
The service was excellent with lots of tales of other churches and people from the retiring priest. It was very much appreciated by everyone there.
I was touched by the offers of several people to drive me to the next Safeguarding course. Unfortunately this is not until October.
Our lovely curate is going to be very over worked if she’s not very careful.
I ran the last interregnum with my husband David. I know how exhausting it is to be in charge...
Today is the start of a whole new period.
The man who has just retired has been found a house in a village not too far away from here so I am left with an invitation to visit once they are settled.
Getting my car out of the crowded car park was just one more problem.
I had left it in the shade just up the hill from the church.
It was surrounded when I returned to it.
The good natured assistance I was given to get me out with touching any of the other cars was heart warming.
I got home tired and hot.
Today is the start of a whole new period.
In your mercy Lord.
