Looking out on beauty!

I get calendars most years from firms that I use fairly frequently. There’s a lot of hanging space in this old farmhouse so they all get onto a wall somewhere.
This week I remembered a little late that I hadn’t turned the pages to show what month we are in so I started..
There are about six in various places...I’m in no danger of forgetting what day it is.
On the wall of my study is a magnetic board full of addresses and notices as well as a calendar.
As I turned rather belatedly to March I found a very beautiful scene which was also rather familiar.
It took me a few moments and then I realised it was the view from my sitting room looking out at Falmouth.
This view changes season by season and often day by day.
It was a night scene and the moon was shining over the water.
Quite apart from its beauty it struck me that I really don’t value the height of this old house enough.
From one side there is Falmouth. From the other I look out over green fields giving way to another bit of coast which is where I used to live in Portscatho.
Gerrans church spire marks the spot.
I have yet to find that on a calendar but I shouldn’t be surprised.
It’s not news that I live in a beautiful place but to find pictures of them on calendars did cheer me yesterday in all this windy , drafty weather.
The view is still lovely even when it’s horrid outside. I must try not to take any of it for granted.
