The very word Brexit makes me just want to scream. I keep hearing frantic voices on the radio discussing staying in, going out, and almost nothing in between. Not that there is anything in between......
If we leave at some point half the country will feel let down. If we remain the other half will stage ferocious protests.
David Cameron has indeed got a lot to answer for and yet had he not called the referendum the leave brigade would now be staging their own protests.
A country divided is not a comfortable place right now. And we are divided I’m afraid.
I think another vote might be a good idea but it might just make it worse, though right now I can’t imagine how much worse it can get.
Mrs May has been told to fall on her sword ...
All the earnest young men are lining up to take her place. But they should be warned....the electorate will not forgive easily any back stabbing manoeuvres.
The Labour Parties silence on this subject is sensible right now....all they need is a new leader!
Total chaos threatens our political classes....none of them look appealing .
Some appear distinctly unappealing.
Tory versus Labour , left versus right, the whole mess has brought some very unappealing politicians out of the woodwork...
In this country we are used to strange characters trying to influence our views...that they succeeded last June is turning into a desperate tragedy for us all.
I have no solutions to hand I’m afraid...I’m just glad to be an old woman....leaving or remaining will not make too much difference to my way of life...
But I do hope we can find our way through this mess and leave some reputations intact.
Help!

Desperation among both Tory and Labour, looking over their shoulders to the Council elections, where both were trounced by other parties and even independent candidates. Looking in terror towards the EU Elections, which might mean that the #B party (I won't write it in full) and others like Change UK and the Lib Dems and Greens might take all of the posts, leaving them stranded. Hoist by their own petards.
They deserve all that they get and more. The shambes that is parliament and government need each other, but their tenure is unsure and really shaky. Could you imagine a Parliament, where the minor parties won, wiping out the big beasts, and perhaps an SNP Prime Minister? I can and am already seeking how to migrate.
