I have had a very odd couple of days. Hopefully it’s all ok now. But another lesson has been learned...trust no one you don’t actually know.
Yesterday I got the car problem sorted out thanks to my cleaner who brought me a gallon of diesel....so this morning my first job is to go and fill her up. Unfortunately over the last years several garages have closed....including the one within walking distance . The one in the next village doesn’t sell fuel any more...so my nearest one is quite a long way away.
I haven’t started packing for the next holiday yet but yesterday I did get my suitcase out. All it contains so far is my nightie.
Last time this was the thing I forgot It and I had to buy two very big tee shirts to sleep in!
This week should have been serene whilst I contemplate my journey to Southampton next week. So far serenity has stayed well out of my way.
My friend who has just returned from a similar cruise tells me that the Baltic is very cold right now and to take warm clothes...so I will dig out heavier clothes than I usually do.
I have no enthusiasm for it so far. It’s all feeling a bit dreary...but once I get my brain working on what to pack and what to leave at home I’m sure it will be fine....
A quick rummage through my wardrobe reveals all my cruise evening clothes are ready and waiting....once I get them out it will start to feel real. Right now it’s just a vague notion at the back of my mind.
I regret wasting so much time at the beginning of the week and have just heard on the radio that the app I put on my phone "What app" is a possible danger.
I had already deleted it so it’s not a real worry. But I am now far more aware of possible danger just lurking round the corner.
It’s been a very strange week...so far. It can only get better!
