I get some very odd comments on some of my blog posts. The ones from "anonymous" are invariably very positive, saying how wonderful my blog is and how important it is to him or her!
I never publish them. If the sender has to hide their identity it doesn’t matter how positive they are I won’t publish them.
Lately another sort of comment has arrived...from various pen names that I don’t recognise. They are invariably good, verging on positivity glowing. But I still don’t publish them. Something in my mind doubts their authenticity and their sincerity. They all get put in the bin.
I don’t understand why anyone would spend so much time sending comments which are never published and are never going to be published through the internet. Some days I wake up to a collection of them....it takes seconds to send them to the bin. So it’s not really a problem.
In my mind I have registered that someone has far too much time on their hands....they must be very bored to write copious amounts of rubbish every night. They are almost all sent during the dark hours....
I don’t waste time trying to identify the sender..but I do feel, sorry for them. I get a couple, sometimes more every night. They don’t bother me...I never actually read them .I just send them off to the internet equivalent of the bin.
It’s just one more strangeness to live with...amongst many more...but I do wonder what on earth the sender gets out of it...is it maybe someone I know waiting for a reaction? Or am I just an easy target for an unhappy soul who doesn’t sleep well or have any real friends to chat to in the middle of the night? Does the sender actually read the posts? It seems unlikely...I think some unhappy little soul who is too lazy to find another blog to comment on just uses mine because it’s easier.. but he or she must realise by this time that I’m never going to publish them. And yet still they come. Weird!
Please let me know my fellow bloggers...it’s unlikely that it’s just me.

I notice that you don't send my comments to the Bin. I suspect it helps that I have been commenting here for some years and I always try to be objective, not objectionable.
Keep the post flowing, because they always have something useful to say, sharing your life in Lovely Cornwall or on strange boats flitting across the oceans. We see things through your eyes and perspective.
