Desperate times.
What a world we live in! Two mass killings in America over the weekend. People having to leave their homes for fear of flooding, a little boy thrown off the Tate Modern building for no obvious reason, the return of Ebola to Africa....there is so much bad news this morning that it’s hard to know where to start.
Global warming is being blamed for much of what is happening but half the population seems not to believe in the whole idea of us doing things to our planet which has changed it in crucial ways. And maybe they are right but it makes sense to at least try not to make things in our environment any worse if we can.
Here at home the maniac reader of my blog who sends daily gobbledegook through the air waves constantly has redoubled his or her efforts. Since I delete them as soon as they appear I really am not sure what the sender gets out of it. I would be interested though to find out if other bloggers have similar problems or is it just me?
The bad back is much better this morning after a very quiet weekend. I haven’t moved much at all, staying quietly at home has been a relief after a few manic weeks. But the bad news continues to pour in . Apart from the promise to update the NHS there really is nothing else to cheer me up at all....even the news that a new children’s hospital is to be built in Truro has failed to cheer me. I’ll believe it when I see it..so I’m getting very cynical in my old age.
What a world to wake up in...over to you Lord.
