What next?

I can not remember another time when politics has been such chaos. We are now arguing over when to hold an election. Worse, a second referendum is now also up for debate.   Neither party is inspiring me with any confidence in them at all. .

Boris doesn’t inspire as he seems to be enjoying the chaos all around him. Whilst we are arguing about what to do next in this country it seems that over the pond Trump is also in some trouble. Impeachment seems possible unless some way is found to clear the president from blame.

The problem is I think that politicians have started to believe their own hype.  If they can confuse us, deceive us, alarm us enough then they can get away with anything!

Boris is running a dangerous race here but where is the opposition?  The Labour Party seems demoralised under the onslaught of weird behaviour. Mr Corbyn should be riding high on all this but he’s not....in fact he seems just as fed up as the rest of us. So are we going to get a Christmas election? It looks like a daft idea. If an election is needed then why wait till Christmas? Why not just get on with it?

Our politicians do not inspire me with any confidence in good government.....in fact the reverse of that is true..it feels as though those in power are playing daft games with us all. Who on earth thought it a good idea to make a  Tory clown our Prime Minister?  It’s no wonder Mr Corbyn is looking a bit confused...it’s not normal boring politics as we know it. But I would prefer to be a bit bored like we  normally are,

This sort of politics is scary....I am getting the feeling that anything could happen right now if it satisfied our Prime Ministers sense of entitlement. And of drama...I am getting the feeling that Boris is enjoying all,this...the drama is something he clearly can work with.

The problem is now though that the politicians have put themselves centre stage...  they look as though they are enjoying the drama...

The problem is that the rest of us are getting first bored and then alarmed.......  what ever happens next it needs to happen fast.

Brexit has a lot to answer for....it has become a swear word!

I am tempted to not pay any attention to the news or to politics, but the danger is that if we all switch off, we will wake up in a Police State, where thought control is the norm and thought police, who are already seeking to overturn thousands of years of free speech and debate on a consensus basis.

Now we are faced with militant minorities on both the left and the right of politics, with a malign influence despite their numbers, certainly not a majority overall.

But their dangerous rhetoric is divisive and deliberately designed to be so, as is their choice of language. People who don't agree with them are stupid, uneducated or ill informed. We are patronised and humiliated beyond what is normal, and expected to lay back and enjoy it.

I read speculation in the right wing press that this could cause another civil war? Perhaps that is what they are trying to achieve?
