The weather is awful. Wind and rain are the only words to fit the description. I woke early to find my oil being delivered...it was not yet eight am! So I am up, ready to go. I will be voting today...providing my car consents to carry me. It would be a very long walk to the polling booth if not. But I think it will be OK.
Usually I stay up late on Election Day to watch the results coming in. I can’t do that this time because I’m away in a couple of days. But I will have my radio playing when it gets to the interesting stage. I would like to think we will see the demise of this government. I fear Boris will not really obey the laws of democracy. He seems intent on becoming a dictator if he could get away with it...but I have faith. The establishment will not let him get away with it....fingers crossed!
It is a very interesting period we are living through...
I will meet a lot of Americans on the next cruise....we will have a lot to talk about I think. Trump and Boris will provide us with some interesting conversations...
One of the great joys of travelling on a ship is that we will have access to the American news channels. They are riveting viewing.
But today my first task is to go out and vote...this is a vital election and although my vote against Boris will not count at least I will have the satisfaction of knowing that I tried. I am trying Lord. Let no one reply "Very"

Well, the big day has arrived. By late tonight we will have some indications of how it has gone. But I was pleased to speak to all people at our service this morning and ALL had voted, or were going to the polling station in our Hall, after the service.
I don't have an inkling of how it has gone, but polls were forecasting a tight finish, with perhaps another minority government. We shall see.
I hope you are now home in the warmth. Its very cold here in North Kent with rain pouring down. Hopefully no floods, but as we live on top of a hill, unlikely to affect us.
