Exhausted !

Gosh I am tired. The last cruise did me no good at all and it’s taken me a long time to jump through all the hoops set up for me by google.! Hope I’m getting back to a little bit of normal now but I can’t remember a time when so many things have demanded my time and effort on returning home. I’m just getting old I suppose..... This morning I will have to ask my cleaner to work round me...and my still packed suitcases on the spare bed. If she hadn’t been due to arrive I might just have stayed in bed. Arghhhh! But really I am touched by the steps taken to welcome me home this weekend...it has been very touching....but it’s now time to resist all the plans made for me in my absence. The political situation is beyond me just now...the people I’ve spoken to since arriving home have all applauded Boris! This has shaken me I admit. How has he got so many intelligent people to trust him? Arghhh... New emails coming through distract me as I type. Please for give my ramblings just now. Normal service will be resumed soon, please God. And at least I shall have a clean house! ,

Hi Jean. I am glad that (near) normal service will be resumed soon.
First count slowly to 100 then take a deep breath in through the nose; hold for a couple of seconds and then exhale gently through the mouth.
Repeat this breathing exercise 10 times.
Now take another deep breath and loudly call out "BoJo the BoZo. Brexit wrecks it".

Ñothing changes but you will hopefully feel more relaxed.

Stay safe in the coming storm.

If you are exhausted, you need some down time, so resist the plans and rest and recover before venturing out on ambitious plans.

We have got the Tories for five years, so will have to get used to it. The danger is the lack of experience in negotiations, quite evident in the three years since the referendum - we made a mess of it all and the EU and Mr Barnier walked all over us. We can't just blame it on Theresa May or parliament, we allowed ourselves to be too cosy in Europe and turned our back on the world, which we will continue to pay for even under the World Trade rules, routine, which Mr Trump has effectively sabotaged by closing down the headquarters which dealt with trade disputes between nations, which was based in the USA.

Mr Johnson is due to speak to the nation with a BBC interview at 8 am today, I will be out, so will miss it, but will watch on catchup later.

We have the rest of 2020 to get it right, or our departure without an agreement will be final. The new President of the EU told us the other day, that we can negotiate the main nuts and bolts of a free trade agreement with them by Dec 2020, but the finer details will take a bit longer, despite Borish saying we can get it done by the transition deadline.

So, he needs to get on with it, perhaps borrowing some expertise from the EU itself, to help the negotiations. They have the people and experience, which we lack - time to put pride aside and seek help.

In the meantime, the world burns, fights wars, many of which are not reported, people are kept in subjection to dictators and autocratic populist rulers try to dismantle or undermine the democratic processes established by rule of law over the past sixty years or so.

The danger is that the UK will descend to their level, instead of showing the way of how a democratic nation can be held together in unity of ideals and purpose, which is in danger from those pushing for independence or greater devolution.

We hold our breath waiting for the next crisis, and I am not thinking about the Royal Family!!!
