Scaring the horses!
I am sorry to be banging on yet again about my face! But I am still bright red and the itchy bits are now sore. I spent most of last night trying not to scratch and then in the early hours I sat down to read all the instructions on the medicine. Something I should have done before clearly. It’s one of the ointments I think having researched it on the net. So I’ve stopped rubbing it in! After several hours of just leaving my face alone it is no longer bright red but it is itching and literally breaking up before my eyes. I will talk to the doctor . But he is a new one , the old one I trusted completely has left the practice so I’m giving myself a day before I do anything else. No more creams are going anywhere near my face. I’ve splashed cold water on it and it is now breaking up nicely. I will give it a day now before trying anything else...or think of driving anywhere.....
Especially as I live a long way from either of the surgeries here. I don’t know this new doctor as I knew the old one. So I’m just going to sit this one out. I’m in no fit state to drive to either of the surgeries...yet...but taking no action seems a sensible solution and if it gets any worse I will ring them. But if I’m right about having had an allergic reaction to one of the creams then it can only get better....
I think. And if I were to meet any horses along the way I would definitely scare them!

It sounds horrible Jean and you do need to see a doctor, but one thing I do know from years of excema is that you should not splash cold water on your face, whatever the temptation.
If it feels hot put some old cotton hankies or even an old thin cotton pillowslip in the fridge then hold that to your face to cool it.
If you have hot showers keep your face out of the steam if you can.
I do hope it is much better soon.
Thank you Ray I appreciate that advice. I’m giving it a day before acting..I’ll,see how it is tomorrow....though my neighbours face when she saw it this morning nearly got me moving!
I think that Ray has made a good point. seeing a doctor seems sensible and identifying what ails you is now urgent, you have had it for some weeks.
I do hope that you have been able to secure an appointment soon.
