Booze!

Yesterday was wonderful. Friends reading the blog rang me with advice in getting the television sorted out. Just turn it all off was the advice. Then turn it on again. It worked! Treating my television like my computer actually worked! Thank you chaps! Yesterday was strange in several different ways. I got a delivery. Of wine. Clearly at some stage over the weekend I had finished off my last bottle of wine. So I ordered some more. Four cases duly arrived on my doorstep. The man who delivered them was clearly amused...I wasn’t I had not realised the bulk involved in four cases of wine. Getting it all indoors and put away took a lot of strength and time. All I have to do now is drink it! Seriously I have enough wine to last for a year at my present rate of drinking. Also today the other alcohol will arrive.....two bottles of a single malt I’m very fond of! Oh dear.....self isolation could make my bad habits dangerous... After David died I started to have a couple of glasses every night. With what arrived yesterday I could spend my last years on earth slightly inebriated. Hic!

Is it possible you will also end up pickled?

Alcohol is used to pickle fruits etc, you might up in a jar of gerkins :)

Seriously, as a teetotal person I should be frowning at you, but off course, I am not. It can't be easy being isolated even in lovely Cornwall, so what ever you do to pass the time (in moderation) is fine.

I am busy deep cleaning - if it moves, clean it, if it stands still, paint it. An old Army expression. Luckily we don't have the sort of whitewash here we used to use when painting white lines, or everything might have a white strip down it.

Still praying for your good health and well being.
