How much longer?

OK I admit it! I’m getting bored with all this now. I forgot for a while why we are all doing this... and actually....I’m still not sure! I got a delivery yesterday from a site I have used for years but the one ingredient I couldn’t find is milk. I have no fresh milk any more....but some powdered stuff will do....probably. But it is getting very yawn inducing...Last weekend I cooked My lambchop to make a decent Sunday lunch and the wonderful man in the village who has looked after me since this started has procured another chop for today! Wonderful! Once we go back to normal whenever that may be I will never take any of the normal diet stuff for granted. But for now all is well.... though it’s a good job I stocked up on booze. Given the dullness of my diet I’m drinking more than I ever have before. If I end up in an alcoholic stupor it would not be good....but I could live with it! If I had to. How long can all this go on? On the radio I am listening to the tales of woe...when all I really need to hear are some jokes, some laughter would go down quite well right now. Cornwall is quiet. The weather has been wonderful. One or two lone walkers pass by on the cliff path. Yesterday I crossed the road safely...not too many vehicles are a hazard just now. I stood looking out to sea, resisting the urge to just cross the meadow to go down to the little beach below. But I turned round to,come home. Walking the garden several times round is probably enough for the time being..... but it is all pretty boring. yawn!

It sounds like your self isolation isn't really as good as you portray. i can't say that I am bored - my spouse won't allow me time to be bored.

But your boredom is of course the result of a long time, not seeing or talking to people, apart from your Gardener? You need human interaction, even if for a few seconds, standing well apart (6 feet or 2 metres). This could be had by just popping down to the local village and using the local shop or post office (if you have one in your rural idyll?

The lack of fresh milk is just the excuse that you need, surely in a rural community there must be fresh milk available, perhaps getting your own Milk Cow to graze your garden, giving your gardener lots of natural fertiliser might be an idea for you to try.

In the meantime, why not ring a friend or two to hear a human voice, or ring Apple to tell them you are having password problems and insist on talking to a human, not a robot.

Continuing to pray for Your wellbeing and good health, and now for some human distractions to resolve your boredom.

Popping down to the village. Is either a very long walk or getting the car out...neither of which appeals right now...but I’ve had a couple of phone calls...and there’s plenty of food so all is well. It’s a lovely day outside and I’ve never known the road so quiet... so it’s not all bad news.

You can walk to the beach if you want, we are allowed to leave our homes so long as we only pass and greet other people at distance. We've seen bluebells!

God bless...
