Safe at home.

It’s a strange world we are all living in...the sun is missing this morning and Falmouth which is usually visible from my windows has disappeared in the mist. My delivery from the mostly veggie site is due today...and I still have some of last weeks in my fridge. I really don’t eat much these days..and food intended to last a week can actually last me for much longer. So there will come a time when I have to stop it....but as yet it is a God send... I am trying to keep this blog interesting but it’s not really easy in this boring time we are living through...though actually I am not bored.I listen to all the news and shudder most days so a bit of boredom would go down quite well just now. Being alone is my usual state..In theory it would be the perfect time to complete several half done jobs abandoned long ago...I have opened my wardrobe doors several times with a sharp intake of breath..I still have David’s dinner jacket in one of them feeing unwilling to part with the last bit of him. Good memories of our travelling together are revived at the sight of his suits with two pairs of trousers....the first pair to be replaced by a bigger one after eating well on the various cruises. Somehow I am not minded to even look at the brochures arriving on the doorstep from the cruise companies. . Right now going off on a jollly would seem very wrong...even if they are still running...but staying at home suits me...I have no need to go off again just now...being at home on my own suits me fine. Here I am safe...thank you God.

Good to hear that you are safe and well fed with supplies to spare.

You are fortunate in getting deliveries, we've tried here and there is a waiting list. If you log onto the supermarket you can see a guage, which shows which number in the line, it can be several hundred. Now they are extending the lockdown for another three weeks, I can't see that improving any time soon.

We will go to a supermarket each week for essentials not available in our corner shop, particularly food for the cats, who are elderly and quite picky about what they eat. We got an amazon delivery of cat food a day or so ago, which we had waited two weeks for.

Praying for your continued health and well being
