Weird world.

Judging by the interviews on the radio this morning this current political row is not going away. Mr Commings acted in a strange way and excused his actions by saying that he had broken the rules he himself had set up because he feared for the safety of his child....at least I think that’s what he said because in the torrent of words yesterday and again this morning all that remains is the concept that having set up the stay at home rules he then went ahead and broke them. Quite why he assumed he was able to do thst is not really clear...but what is clear is that our Prime Minister is sticking by him...so we have to try to understand that he must be very valuable to Boris. Quite why is not evident to us just now but it is a worry. Anyone reading this blog will by this time be aware that I am not happy with Boris as PM to start with but this has just made it all worse because we can only guess at just how deeply Boris needs this mans expertise in running a country. How long it will be before before Boris realises that he is going to get tarred by the same brush if he’s not very careful. Now it is easy to imagine all sorts of ghastly secrets hiding in the parliamentry wing. How all this is playing out is riveting. No ones getting bored with it but it has started me wondering why Boris needs this man to the point where he is prepared to go out on a limb for him... Here in Cornwall the sun still shines...and the roads are quiet again...so this distraction is very welcome but watching the poor man trying to survive the political storm Is taking our minds off the fact that there are no life guards on our beaches right now because of this virus apparently. Several sea deaths are reported. The advice to stay at home....not to travel here is mostly being ignored..... it’s a strange world out there....
