Fortunate!

Oh desr....or words to that extent....yesterday was full of surprises...not least the arrival of my medication from the chemist. People leaving things for me have developed a new technique. I hear a knock on the door and on getting to it I find stuff on the doorstep and hear a car starting up after waving at me as they go. Being on self imposed lockdown has brought some wonderful results. I now have enough medication to last for the next month...and food in the cupboard until the next Tesco delivery next week. But who ever could have predicted all this? It really is astonishing . It seems to have brought out the very best of us. When my phone rings it’s often someone checking that I have everything I need. And I do. Amazing! I’ve even found a new friend whilst playing cribbage on line. This is just weird...but I’m not complaining when I find the messages left overnight. He clearly lives in a different time zone. it’s not a misery at all this period of lockdown. I realise that I’m very fortunate...and hope it goes on that way. Thank you God.

Brilliant. It demonstrates for me anyway, the basic kindness and goodness of people. Sometimes we read so many negative stories, it is lovely to hear of the happier ones. This is one such.
