A Hotel?

I thought I had posted a blog much earlier so either I lost it or I just got it wrong. Its been another lovely day here again and people are out taking adventage of it. I have stayed at home to try to get my head in the right place for everything thats coming. My friend goes home next week and I will be back on my own again. This isnt too bad...lots of good things are coming up. But I am not sure if I have done the right thing in booking myself into one of our really good hotels. It will cost me nearly as much as a cruise! Gosh that was a bit of a shock! And I have to admit that right now I am not sure that I have done the right thing. Only time will tell on that one. The really strange thing is that no one seems surprised that I have done it. Am I so predictable? I just need to get on with it I suppose. When I rang the hotel to book a meal earlier I was startled to be told that all the Sunday lunches were booked! We are all clearly having the same thoughts... so a ready dinner on my own was OK complete with a glass of wine....I am getting the hang of opening the bottles now!

Good evening Jean. Sounds like you’ve had good weather in Cornwall. Sunshine and showers in Suffolk, but with the bonus of seeing a glorious rainbow. Rainbows always lift the spirits!
It’s good you rang to try to book for lunch, although disappointing to find there was no room for you it saved a wasted journey! It’s also good for the hotel that they were fully booked - it’s tough for the hospitality sector currently.
Glad you’re mastering opening wine bottles! 😊😊
Cheers 🍷

Morning Jean
Think the idea of spending Christmas in a hotel is such a good idea. Not nice to be on your own at Christmas. Another thought would be to invite a friend to spend Christmas with you which could be fun.
You will have to get used to booking way in advance for meals out. Round here you can’t get in without a prior booking. It’s the new thing I suppose.
Have a good week. Xx
