Still alive!

I am getting used to sitting up in bed listening to the radio and blogging as I go. Its a very strange period we are living through just now. I have lived alone for quite a long time so its really not a problem. People do ring me and I have had some very interesting conversations recently. The radio though is keeping me in touch with the outside world. My gardener arrived yesterday too and we shared a cup of tea whilst talking about whats going on in the world. When I told him that some of my electrical gadgets were not working he told me that other people had had a similar problem. I have no way of assessing the truth of that statement but it is interesting...I would feel much better if I wasnt the only one having trouble. So far I have failed to get my heating working but small heaters are keeping me warm . Somehow being a bit cold is all part of this strange world we are living in. I have dug out several heavy woolly jackets which are keeping me warm most of the time. In the evening I put on a small heater placed near the sofa from where I can watch the television...ploughing my way through lots of old films...as well as the news. This is all very boring stuff I am afraid..but at least it shows that I am still alive....just!
