Activity!

I am up and dressed and its still dark! Oh dear! the reason for my early morning activity is that my gardener arrives at eight oclock so I need to be ahead of him. I know thats just daft but still I am always just slightly ahead of him even on mornings when theres no light to garden by. A card was just posted by him on his way past! So its just as well I am dressed..Oh dear...He will be aware of some activity because of course the light is on. It really is very dark this morning. So this is the day I make sure that all my cards are done and ready to post. I have already got some money for him....theres no point in giving him a cheque...he doesnt cash them I found this year! So actual pound notes are needed! After he has been past my window several times to make sure I am up he will not I think start cutting the grass again...so it will be a tidying day. He is a good tidier...often chopping back stuff I have encouraged to grow a little wild. Sometimes I leave notes on things I want leaving alone...but in this dark weather he wouldnt see them anyway! So onwards we go...towards Christmas....I am not really in a Chrismassy mood yet I am afraid...over the years I have seen too many of them and inevitably memories of festive activities with my children surface bringing tears inevitably. But once Ive shed them I can get on with it all. And I will!
