Disconnected!

Well today we have a whole new problem. A voice informs me that my telephone line is disconnected. And it is! I am not sure how this works because Ive just spoken to a young man on it. He was clearly not interested but as at my age I am classed as a vulnerable old woman I assumed I might carry some clout. I obviously didnt. The way I found out about the problem was surreal. A voice informs me that I am disconnected as I move about the house. At least one of my neighbours has got the same problem so some sort of help should be forth coming once they start taking it seriously. In this group of four houses only three are currently occupied...and one of them is a holiday let. Just now I got a phone call so one of my phones still works. A young man is on his way to look at it! Thank goodness! At this early start to the day it is very reassuring. Lets hope he can fix it! At least the voice telling me I am disconnected has now gone!

Just be careful it is not a scam of some sort.
If someone rings your land line number and doesn't hang up, your phone is locked to them and appears to you to not be working. Use your mobile to contact your provider to check or through your providers website via email.
Hope it's sorted soon.

It's Ok I think...a neighbour has a similar problem. And this one is all to do with the tall pole standing nearby...it's not the first time unfortunately.

Good morning Jean. I agree with Bob, there are some nasty folk out there trying to scam us.
If it’s a recorded message it’s likely to be someone up to no good. As I’m sure you are aware, never give personal details to them.
Hope your phone is actually ok and today is a good day
